Grand Wood
I studied Grant Wood becasue he is from Anamosa Iowa. He was known for painiting simple scenes of land. His painting show love that he had for people and the midwest. He loved the Iowa farmland. He was once interviewed and he said he enjoyed walking through the fields and feeling the soil between his toes. I learned a lot about Grand wood in this reading and it really connected to me becasue he is from Iowa. He talks about all the corn fields and weather and I can really relate to that.Below is the link to where I found this information.

Vincent Willem van Gogh
I chose to study Vincent Van Gogh because the little I have heard about him caught my attention. Vincent was a painter who was known for painting with a rough beauty and very honest emotional art. His influence on the 20th Century of art was a big one. He suffered very painful anxiety attacks and had many expierences with mental illnesses. He died at the young age of 37 from a gunshot wound that has been said to be self enflicted. The gun was never found. My opionion on Vincent Van Gogh is that he was a man that wasnt all there in the head and had a rough life, but he descibed his feelings in his art. I learned a lot about Vincent from the little reading I did, and here is the link to the source I used to find this information.
