10-B final free choice project reflection: May 29,30, or 31, 2013
1. We made a motorcross man and we used wood and PVC pipes for the arms and legs. It took about 2 class periods and 7 and half hours.
2. I think the srong parts of my prjoject are the body because it is firm and is solid.
3. I think I could have done better on the head to make it more detailed because it was difficult to get it on.
4. My theme of my motorcrosser is a guy who races motorccle and competition. We dressed him with clothes that show what he is.
5. The important element are my form becasue he is built of wood and thats how he was formed. We also used shape to make him stand up and to look as much like a real human as we could with the materials provided.
6. The important principles we used were emphasis becasue we wanted certain things to stick out. We also used balance in the arms and legs were the same size and width exactly.
7. I learned that a full plan before you work on something you must think out everything because our pants would not fit on properly, and if we would have thought more to begin with they could have.
8. I started off brainstorming and then thought about how I love building things. Then i asked Tucker if he wanted to build one together. We started constructing thinkning it would take us a couple of hours and quickly realized it was going to take a long long time. It took us roughly 7 1/2 hours to complete everything. We used nails, screws, wood, basketball, PVC pipes, and spray paint. The final outcome came out pretty good ecxpet for the pants and the head.
9. Our project was planned out all along but we had to adjust on occasion. I got very frustrated when I had spent 7 hours on a project outside of class and didnt get apporoved by Mr. Purdy. I then spent another hour last night adding the clothes and details to make him look as real as we could.
10. Yes I like this project and the ability to do it with a partner and made it much more fun. We also both had ideas along the construction process to make it better and improve little things. I plan to build things this summer. such as a pontoon like I have in previous summers.I will not be taking any art in future years.
